After you've completed the four weekly bootcamp challenges, we're asking you to upload your YouTube performance video to the New Year Bootcamp website!

We've created a series of four challenges based on real skills that examiners look for in music exams. Weekly tasks will be emailed to you and also go live on the website each week!

To take part, you must first upload your video to your YouTube channel. Our tips for doing this are below:

  • Step 1: Film yourself performing the task (follow the directions on the New Year Bootcamp Rules page carefully).

  • Step 2: Upload the clip to your YouTube channel.

  • Step 3: Make sure your YouTube video entry is set as 'unlisted'. This means that your videos won't appear to others who visit the 'Videos' tab of your channel page and shouldn't show up in YouTube's search results, but the Trinity College London moderators will be able to see them. This helps everyone stay as safe as possible online.

  • Step 4: Please try to keep your videos to a maximum of two minutes long. This is to maintain fairness and to ensure you can really focus on the skills you've been practising: remember, it's about quality not quantity!

  • Step 5: Submit the YouTube link on the New Year Bootcamp site - then, once a moderator has checked your video, you will feature on the homepage!

Then take a look around and enjoy the other musicians' videos on the site!  Ready to upload your first entry? Just click the button below.
