February 2024 Trinity KZN Newsletter

Dear Trinity College London KZN Community,

Welcome to 2024! After the rush of back-to-school, I trust you have settled into the year and started to find your 2024 groove.

First up this year are our May Theory and Practical Music exam sessions. The May practical session is making a comeback after it was shelved in the early post-covid years. We are hoping that offering this session will bring back more normality and routine to the music teachers’ calendars and I hope it will be supported.

Please note that entries for the Theory and Practical Music exams for the May session close at the end of February. Click here to enter.

As with most things in life, our fees have increased as of the first of January 2024. You can find the updated fees for 2024 here.

In keeping up with the other regional newsletters sent out by the provincial representatives, I have included a section below on workshops and job advertisements. If you would like me to include your advert or event in the future, please send it to me. We have, across Trinity, decided not to include concerts as there are so many!

Wishing you all the best for the remainder of Term 1.

Warm regards,

Jenny du Plessis - Trinity College London KZN Representative

Durban SASMT AGM

Sharing the Trinity News

I was kindly invited to attend the Durban Branch of the SASMT AGM and give the members an update from Trinity College London regarding the new piano syllabus, entering exams digitally and face-to-face as well as to distribute certificates and have a bit of a meet and greet. It was a lovely oppertunity for both the teachers and myself. If you would like me to do the same at one of your meetings, please get in touch.
