I hope you had a lovely break and have returned ready to face the second term!

The 13th of May Music and Drama Theory sessions will take place at St Michael’s Church Rondebosch, Parklands College, and Curro Langebaan. A big thank you to the venues for agreeing to host our exams. Theory appointment slips will be sent out in the next day or two for these sessions.  

The first face-to-face Music exams for 2023 take place in May and the appointment slips for these exams will also be sent out shortly. We’ve had to adjust the Cape Town exam dates slightly to accommodate the examiner’s travel itinerary. The exams will take place a week later than originally advertised, from May 29th to June 2nd.  All applicants for this session received an email in this regard on 3 April. Please confirm receipt of that email and let me know if there are any particular days of that week that don't work for you or your student(s). There are still a few slots available which we would like to fill up. Get in touch this week if you or your student would like to enter for the session and we will attempt to slot you in. 

There will be a short Rock and Pop face-to-face session in June as advertised. We are still finalising the date and venue and will soon be in touch with everyone who has entered for that session.

I have now managed to contact all the applicants for exams taken in 2022 indicating certificates ready for collection. Unfortunately, it is not possible for me to communicate with all candidates individually, so I ask the applicants to please disseminate the information regarding examinations and certificates to the students they entered. Certificates are filed alphabetically per applicant. Parents or candidates are welcome to collect individual certificates themselves, but please ensure that they know who the applicant was.

A number of teachers have indicated that certificate collection is difficult. I will have a look at this and see what we can do in this regard. 

The online booking portal is now open for all practical exam booking for sessions later in the year; Music, Drama, Rock and Pop and Theory.
