TCL Western Cape December 2023

Dear Trinity College London Western Cape community,

 

We have come to the end of a very successful year. I would like to take the opportunity to thank all the candidates, teachers and parents for their support during 2023.

 

The entry portal will be open until Friday 8 December, so please ensure that your entries reach us by then. To be clear, you do not have to upload your entries by Friday, only enter and pay. After which you will have 28 days to upload your exams. For example if you register on Friday you will have until roughly January 5th 2024 to upload.

 

2024 will kick off with the entry portal opening on 15 January. The 2024 fee structure will be finalised and communicated next week.

 

Please diarise the dates of the 2024 face to face examinations:

 

Music Only

  1. May Session: 20 -24 May  
  2. August Session: 12-15 August (TBC)

Music and Drama

  1. October Session: Start Date 2 October 

Theory 

  1. Saturday 11 May
  2. Saturday 9 November

To commence duties in: End of Jan/Feb 2024

 

The Successful Applicant will:

  • Have suitable professional qualifications
  • Have appropriate educational experience
  • Be familiar with Trinity Rock & Pop Syllabus
  • Enter students for Trinity Syllabus Exams, Graded as well as Teachers Diploma
  • Classical training would be a bonus and a strong motivating deciding factor
  • Tuition should include technique, repertoire, musical development, performance practice and        aural awareness 
  • Be able to give one-on-one lessons as well as an Ensemble Vocal Class
  • Be available for classes between 8am - 5pm, Monday to Friday 
  • Have an energetic and innovative approach to teaching and learning
  • Work well with other music teachers and HOD creating a sound, fun and positive learning environment
  • The institute is a Christian Based organisation instilling Christian values and primarily focused on Ministry by using the arts
