February 2023 Newsletter
Dear Trinity College London Western Cape Community,
There are two important pieces of information to share this week; firstly details of the new Western Cape Trinity Rep, and secondly the closing dates for entries to the 2023 face-to-face exams.
I'm delighted to announce that Carin Brand will be joining the Trinity SA team as the new Western Cape representative as of March 1 2023. With twenty years experience in the performance arts, music, and education sectors, as well as strong event management experience, Carin is a natural fit for the role and I'm really looking forward to working alongside such a capable and accomplished professional. Carin is wrapping up a teaching commitment at the moment and will be taking on her Trinity College London role at the beginning of March. I'll continue to hold the fort until then, and will communicate Carin's contact details closer to her starting in the position.
You will find links below to download the 2023 closing date documents for Music, Rock & Pop and Drama. I realise this is at least three weeks overdue for which I apologize; however the Trinity London team were delayed in confirming examiner availability which meant we couldn't finalise dates. You will notice in the MUSIC document that we are adding an August face-to-face music session, in addition to the late May session and the main Oct/Nov session. We are expecting a good number of entries this year and the hope is that by adding a short August exam session it will take some of the pressure off the Oct/Nov timetable.
Please note bookings for the May theory session are now open, as well as bookings for all digital exams. For details of how to book, please click here.
**IMPORTANT NOTE** The Trinity Western Cape banking details have changed, please take note of the new bank account details reflected in the booking confirmation emails, as well as in the email below.
Thanks to those who have collected or made arrangements to courier 2022 certificates. For those who haven't we will start to communicate individually to make arrangements to get your certificates to you. The process should be smoother once Carin joins the team in March, thanks for your patience.
Sincerely,
Peter Borchers - Trinity College London National Manager South Africa, Botswana & Namibia
