This webinar explored how teachers and students can make the best use of AI tools to enhance student outcomes – and how to avoid new pitfalls that AI is creating. This webinar dived into the rapidly evolving world of artificial intelligence and its impact on language education. Participants discovered insights and practical tips on using AI to improve student learning strategies. We also looked at how AI can enhance teacher lesson preparation, classroom activities, and administration (plus how to help students navigate AI also). Finally, we discussed potential AI challenges, like privacy and ethics, and how teachers can equip themselves with the skills and knowledge to use AI effectively.
About the presenter
David Weller has worked in ELT for over 20 years. He is passionate about edtech and the potential new technology brings to learning and teaching. Dave has worked as a teacher, Director of Studies and teacher trainer. He holds a Trinity DipTESOL and MA in TESOL. He has written three books about language teaching and writes a twice-monthly newsletter for teachers. He is also a Trinity College London examiner and moderator.
