About

In this short session, we will give a brief overview of the programmes and courses offered at Regent’s University London.

Regent’s is a private university located in Regent’s Park. Being one of the most internationally diverse universities in the UK, with 140+ nationalities on campus, it gives students an opportunity to connect and share their cultural experiences in a thriving global environment. Regent’s English Language Centre is a British Council-accredited language school and an English UK member that has helped hundreds of students from all over the world to improve their English over the last 28 years.

About the presenter

Monika Wierzanska-Villar has a degree in Applied Linguistics & ELT from King’s College London, and over 20 years of experience in the English language teaching industry in various settings, including private language schools, summer centres and the HE sector. Before moving into management, she taught a range of English language courses, both in the UK and abroad. Her academic interests include teacher education and continuing professional development of teachers as well as ELF (English as a Lingua Franca). At Regent’s Monika manages the English Language Centre – a department of the university which offers year-round English language courses to international students.
