When teachers and school leaders talk about differentiated instruction and inclusion, the particular needs of gifted learners can be missed. However, for those individuals to reach their full potential, it is paramount that their needs are identified as early as possible and taken into account when planning lessons. This webinar aims at helping teachers cater for the needs of young, gifted learners, thus allowing those children to thrive. Teachers will receive tips to identify what giftedness in young children looks like, and strategies on how to successfully include them in the regular ELT class.
About the presenter
Cecilia Cabrera Martirena has been an EFL teacher for more than 30 years and teacher educator for 15 years. She delivers professional development workshops for teachers and school leaders in the UK and South America. She has graduate degrees on PBL, Critical Thinking and Active Pedagogies and is currently completing her MA in Professional Development for Language Education. She is Program Leader for the Cambridge Professional Development Qualification on Educational Leadership.
