How to prepare your computer
Step-by-step guide for Windows users
Introduction
The PSI secure browser must be installed before the ISE test. Follow the steps below.
Step 1: Download the file
Download the .exe file from the link below.
Save the .exe file somewhere you can easily access later, such as your desktop.
Step 2: Prepare to install the browser
Double click on the .exe. This will open the installation wizard.
Read the terms and conditions and click 'I agree'.
Check that 'only for me' is selected if you are installing on a personal computer. Then click 'next'.
Step 3: Install the browser
You will need approximately 1.1 GB of free space to install the browser.
Click 'install' and wait until the browser finishes installing. You now no longer need the .exe file and you can move it to the recycle bin.
Step 4: Set up the browser
The secure browser will now be on your desktop.
Double-click on the secure browser icon. Next, you will need to complete the security checks.
Disconnect any extra monitors. You can only use one monitor while the browser is running.
Step 5: System requirements
You will need to close down any open applications. Click on ‘terminate all these applications’ to close all open applications. You can also close each application one by one.
Very important: Before you click 'next', write down the below exit code as you will need it in step 7.
Exit code: TB%VmEh9>SjF
When both sections show 'pass', click 'next'.
Step 6: Log in to the browser
Log in to the browser with your username and password.
Check that you pass all the system requirements.
Step 7: Close the browser
To close and exit the browser you will need your exit code. Type in the code exactly as it appeared in step 5 (it is case sensitive). You can then close the browser.
You have now successfully set up the secure browser. You will need to log in again when you take the test.
