Summary

There is always high demand for qualified English language teachers and the need for practitioners with respected qualifications has never been greater.

Trinity’s teaching English qualifications are designed to support teachers throughout their careers — from early practitioner to experienced professional, and have a strong focus on the trainee's aspirations and the teaching environment. They are widely accepted internationally by state and private sector teaching institutions including British Council-accredited organisations in the UK and around the world.

This webinar was aimed at individuals considering a career in teaching English or who already have an initial certificate and would like a higher level, in-service, qualification to improve their career prospects. It offered an overview of where Trinity’s teaching qualifications can take you, and what to expect.

During the webinar, the presenter:

  • Outlined Trinity’s teaching English qualifications from initial to advanced level
  • Provided an overview of the CertTESOL (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) including the assessments, study time and mode, and how to find courses.
  • Provided an overview of the CertPT (Certificate for Practising Teachers) including the assessments, specialisms offered, study time and mode, and how to find courses.
  • Highlighted possible career paths for those starting out as a teacher of English as well as those with several years of experience.
