Summary
Trinity's Graded Examinations in Spoken English (GESE) are one-to-one, face-to-face assessments of English language speaking and listening skills with a Trinity examiner, who encourages the candidate to evidence their skills through prompts and authentic interactive dialogue. The GESE exam is a popular choice in peak periods, as well as for part-time learners, and for optional conversation classes year-round.
This webinar was designed for teachers and school staff who will be running Trinity's GESE in the near future, and who require some basic tips and strategies for placing students in the appropriate exam grade. Guidance was provided on how to place individual students according to their ability; considering the overall length of the exam, the demands of the tasks involved at each stage and how the exam is assessed.
